Do you get yourself dressed in the morning? Do you think about what you’re going to wear, even for a moment? Of course you do, you wouldn’t dream of leaving the house undressed or unprepared. Similarly we need to think about starting our day before we leave the house by putting on each part of the armour of God.
In my eyes, failure is not an option. I will lower the bar before I fail. Failure means I am less than. Failure shows others that I don’t have it all together, I can’t do it myself, I don’t always fit the “performance” I put on.
I am constantly torn between being too much and not being enough. I’m loud, I’m excited, I’m determined…I fear that I will come off as “too much for someone.”

"Why fix something that ain't broken?" It's universally known that humans are resistant to change. While others are in desperate need to find healing and yearning for a change in their circumstance, some of us don't see the need to restore or improve anything.

How has God spoken to you through today's verse? Are there areas in your life consumed by fear? Spend some time in meditation and prayer as you let the Spirit speak to you on areas you need to approach with love.
Are you negotiating with God on something? Perhaps asking for more before you are ready for what He has called you to do? Perhaps relying on your own strength, planning and hard work to accomplish something, forgetting that God is in it all? You need this reminder…
Here’s the thing. Words matter. Our words are an expression of our thoughts. So, it does matter what we say to ourselves and to others. The narrative inside our heads matter. In light of that, I would rather be the forever ‘optimist’ to encourage than carry a ‘victim’ narrative that fuels negativity. Why though?
