This is a 7-class handstand yoga program which will help you learn the fundamentals on how to build strength for handstands, taking you through the different techniques to get into a handstand and building confidence to eventually hold a handstand! Taught by our handstand expert, mother and gymnast
, Becca Van Cleef holds a breadth and depth of knowledge to help all walks of life journey into their handstand goal.

Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice #1 | Hannah Faces Waiting

DESCRIPTION

As we work through a creative Grace Flow, introducing you to essential ways to warm your wrists and build upper body strength for a future Handstand, we will find encouragement and perseverance in our own struggles as we discuss Hannah from 1 Samuel and how she steps From Fear to Faith.

DESCRIPTION

As we work through a creative Grace Flow incorporating micro-movements throughout, youʼll be introduced to proper Handstand hold form for when you finally take the shape upside down. We will also find encouragement and
perseverance in our own struggles as we discuss Young David, from 1 Samuel, and how he steps From Fear to Faith, despite those who doubted his abilities.

Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice #3 | Daniel Faces Critics

DESCRIPTION

As we discuss how Daniel faces his fears with faith leading up to the lionʼs den, we work through a creative Grace Flow where youʼll be introduced to different ways you can practice “feeling the float”. This will prepare you to start feeling more comfortable being upside down, prepping for the eventual handstand!

Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice #4 | Hosea Faces Betrayal

DESCRIPTION

This is a short, workshop style, class. No flow, just drills to learn and then take away to practice on your own. When practiced consistently, these drills will teach you how to fall out of a handstand safely. During this workshop we will learn about how Hosea faces fear with faith as God asked him to embark on a difficult journey.

Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice #5 | Mary Faces Sacrifice

DESCRIPTION

This is a short, workshop style, class. No flow, just 4 drills to learn and then take away to practice on your own. When practised consistently, these drills will help you build strength in handstand against the wall and build confidence in taking your handstand away from the wall. During this workshop we will learn about how Mary steps “From Fear to Faith” as God asked her to sacrifice the life as she knew it.

Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice #6 | Jesus Faces Abandonment

DESCRIPTION

This is a Grace Flow incorporating everything from the series so far - handstands as the peak pose, working toward taking them away from the wall and increasing “hang time”. During this flow we will also discuss what Jesus fear faces on the cross and find encouragement from Scripture.

DESCRIPTION

This is a Stretch and Rest session, celebrating the completion of the Foundations to Build a Handstand Practice Program. We will take some deep stretches and hold them for several breaths as we review all of the Scriptures and faith warriors throughout the program.
